About Mary and Mabel
Why the name Mary and Mabel?
Many moons ago there was a family of five sisters who were incredibly crafty, full of joy and a little bit cheeky. Two of those sisters were named Mary and Mabel. Mary is the reason these three above exist. Lynn, (on the right) is Mary's daughter, who delivered Tanya in the 70's. Kelsea wasn't far behind, delivered by Tanya, 18 years later.
Mary and Mabel came from very little, however they loved a good arts and crafts project. You could often find them crocheting , knitting, making paper and tile appliqué, sewing and more. It makes perfect sense that the need to create flows down through the generations.
Every women within the family line holds a strong connection to spirituality. Tanya and Kelsea chose to ensure their new creative venture would be guided and supported by spirit guides Mary and Mabel.
Meet Kelsea
Kelsea is a stay-at-home-mum, she had her son in July 2021 and her daughter in May 2024. She is deep in the trenches of motherhood, although it is hard, it is extremely rewarding. Recently her son moved from the baby to the kids clothing section and she was overwhelming disappointed with the options. Not wanting to pay an arm and leg for children's clothing but still wanting cute outfits, she came up with the idea of making her own brand. This is how the idea of Mary and Mabel was born.
Meet Tanya
Tanya can be found enjoying her two grandchildren often, as all of her three adult children have flown the nest. Tanya has a love for affirmations, gratitude, journaling, meditation, crystals and oracle cards.
The idea of children walking around in clothing that is positive and affirming made perfect sense. Having success working together before in business, Tanya supported Kelsea's idea of creating the clothing brand,
